Perhaps you are wondering if the Mongol Mama Shop still exists... It does! And there are even two new products.

One clarifies the pronunciation of the name of Mongolian felt tents (gers) because it's sure not said "gur" like Julia Roberts thought, and they are definitely not called yurts.


The other pertains to the ever present Mongolian sausage called hiam. Yummy! Remember that if you want to buy the goods, you have to click on the shop links to the right. Those will take you to the Mongol Mama Cafépress shops.

Some people wonder if they really can order these shirts, mugs, and other items, and the answer is an emphatic yes! Who me?:This question is ever so common in Mongolia. You ask someone a question, and even if they are the only other person around, often they’ll ask, “Who me?” It’s a habit of sorts. It’s quite fun actually, and for those of us who are slower thinkers, the use of it can buy some time. Where do you live? Who me? Will you teach me English? Who me? How many kilos of beef do you want? Who me?

I'm Not Russian: Do you have people trying to speak Russian to you or calling you a Russian person? Perhaps one of these shirts will help. They say, “I’m not a Russian person” in Mongolian. They come in a few different styles and are great for the whole family!
